Regular physical activity prevents cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other physical, mental health and also in disabilities in acute and persistent diseases. Many studies have proved the positive effect of physical activities on health. The purpose of this study was to review and to make conclusion from those researches that have been done on the field of the effect of physical activity on mental components of elderly. Considering the theoretical basis and the researches that have been done, it can be said that ageing is accompanied by changes such as losing power, energy, and fitness. This affects the life quality of elderly. As a result, they affect depression, losing self-confidence and at last physical-mental-social disorders. So, if elderly have physical activities and for these activities, they join their friends and people in their same age, they can improve their physical and mental abilities, feel happier and at last improve their life.
